今年の富山は、1月、2月の降雪が極めて少なく、我が家の庭では、山茶花やツバキの花々があでやかさを競ってきました。また、3月初旬から中旬にかけて咲いていた梅の花は終わりを告げ、現在は、咲き誇るツバキの赤やピンクの花々が目に沁みます。富山では桜が既に開花し、満開が近づいています。

COVID-19により日常生活が大きな制約を受けて三年が経過しました が、我々はコロナ・ウイルスと共存する術(スベ)を身につけたようです。私が2010年から代表を務めておりますAsia-Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA) では、オンラインによる 打合せ、セミナー、年次大会などをコロナ下で行ってきました。完全なるオンラインという形式で開催しました2021年大会には、会費を支払っての参加者が20数か国から200名を超え、digital technologyを活用し会員と歩む足跡を残せました。また、昨年は国際便が広く再開するようになりましたことから、対面とオンラインを選択できるモードでもって、11月8日(火曜日) から11日(金曜日)かけ て2022度大会をバンコクで開催しました。おかげさまで海外から30名ほどの参加者がタイを訪れました(同大会記は日本公認会計士協会機関誌の会計・監査ジャーナル2023年2月号に掲載)。

APMAAの今年の行事ですが、Bangladesh, Indonesia, Qatar, Swedenの各チャプターがそれぞれWebinarを企画しており、また、2023年度年次大会は人口1,300万人の中国の古都、西安にあります国家重点大学、西安交通大学(Xi'an Jiao tong University)を会場に10月24日から27日にかけて開催致します。目下、その準備に毎日多くの時間を割いています。

私のAPMAAでの活動の一端がsusumu ueno apmaa - Google Searchや上埜進 apmaa - Google Searchにおいて画像で見れます。時間がある時に訪れて下さるとうれしいです。Accounting, Management, Financeいった領域の第一線で活動している世界各国の大学研究者と共に歩んでいるAPMAAの活動を今年も引き続きご支援賜りますよう、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

The Japanese Association of Management Accounting honored Professor Susumu Ueno with the Special Award (日本管理会計学会特別賞) on September 12, 2014. This award was given in recognition of his contributions to both research and education and his history of service to the academic community. The award has only been presented to highly exceptional individuals, and Professor Ueno is the 13th award recipient since the association’s foundation of July 1991.  
　

Susumu Ueno  (1946-, 上埜進) is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of  Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA) Official Site (sakura.ne.jp) and the Chief- Editor of Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Journal (APMAJ) (uitm.edu.my)   ( EDITORIAL TEAM (uitm.edu.my)).  He is the APMAA President from Jan. 2010 to Dec. 2013 (About Us: Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA) (sakura.ne.jp)).  As a member of the 日本管理会計学会 | The Japanese Association of Management Accounting (sitejama.jp), he is the past Vice President (2008-2011) and the Executive Director from 2002 to 2017. Ueno is the Editor-in-Chief (2014-2017) of The Journal of Management Accounting, Japan (管理会計学) published by JAMA. 

Ueno is the author of several accounting books: Management Accounting; The Quest for Value, 4th Edition (Zeimu-keiri Kyokai, 2008); Budget Control Practices among U.S. and Japanese Companies; Cross-cultural Approach (Moriyama-Shyoten, 1997 and 1993). He is the editor and coauthor of many books. Ueno has published his research in various journals, including The Journal of International Business Studies, Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Journal, The International Journal of Accounting, Accounting (Kai-kei), The Journal of Cost Accounting Research (issued by Japan Cost Accounting Association), and etc.

Doctor Ueno, Professor Emeritus at KONAN UNIVERSITY (konan-u.ac.jp) Japan, received his MBA from the University of Maryland and his DBA from the Southern Illinois University.
