The formal investiture ceremony for Carnegie Mellon's ninth president Dr. Subra Suresh took place on November 15, 2013. In his inaugural address, Dr. Suresh compares the journey he took to arrive at CMU with experiences similar to its founder, Andrew Carnegie. He shares some of the history of the institution, which points the way forward for the university, and reflects on some of the presidents and scholars who came before him.
