Welcome Message from the Chairperson (2026)

Prof. Dr. Susumu Ueno
Chairperson, APMAA

Welcome to the Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA). Since its inception in 2002 and formal establishment in 2004, APMAA has grown into an internationally connected academic community spanning more than twenty countries. Our members include scholars, practitioners, and doctoral students committed to advancing accounting research and practice across diverse institutional and cultural contexts.

APMAA promotes dialogue across management accounting, financial reporting, ESG and sustainability, and governance and auditing. Through our annual conferences, doctoral programs, webinars, and publications—including the Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Journal (APMAJ)—we seek to foster transparent, constructive, and globally relevant scholarship.

As APMAA enters its third decade, we warmly invite researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to join our activities and contribute to this collaborative academic community.
