Call for Conference Parallel Session Papers
Parallel sessions have always been the center of the APMAA
conferences and Doctoral Colloquiums (to
APMAA Conference Organizers (sakura.ne.jp)).
The APMAA 2021 Annual Conference's theme is "Green Swans-based Management Accounting System towards Future-Fit Society." Green Swans is a manifesto for system change designed to serve people, the planet, and prosperity. If Nassim Nicholas Taleb's "Black Swans" are problems that take us exponentially toward breakdown, then "Green Swans" are solutions that take us exponentially toward a breakthrough (‘Green swans’ and the ‘exponential decade’: A conversation with John Elkington | Greenbiz). The Future-Fit Business benchmark, that charts a path to success in an ever-more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world, is proposed as the next step in assessing truly sustainable business performance. (Future-Fit Business - Transforming Business to Thrive in the21st century). The benchmark may have the potential to evolve the management accounting discipline and practices further towards a sustainable society. As in every other year, we provide tracks that encompass a wide variety of areas and accept manuscripts of almost any (management) accounting subjects. Your manuscripts can be theoretical or practice-oriented. We very much welcome high-quality manuscripts describing constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work.

Program of the APMAA 2021
Conference:
Parallel Sessions On November 10 and 11, the APMAA 2021 annual conference will take place. There are parallel (concurrent) session periods throughout the Conference. A parallel session comprises "Scholarly Paper Sessions," "Research Forum," and "Talk Session." We allocated manuscripts developed in the academic format to Scholarly Paper Sessions. All authors, thank you so much for submissions of your research products to the APMAA 2021. Day 2: Wednesday, November 10, 2021 (updated on Oct.29)
Day 3: Thursday, November 11, 2021 (updated on Oct.29)
Program of the APMAA 2021 Doctoral Colloquium Day 1: Doctoral Program, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 (Edited on October 26)
The Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA) will hold its 2021 Annual Conference (APMAA 2021) from 9th (Tuesday) - 11th (Thursday) November 2021. We hold the conference entirely online. Zoom platforms will be provided by Universitas Trisakti and Udayana University, Indonesia, As you know, the COVID-19 forced us to suspend the APMAA 2020 in Malaysia. In the current situation of limited (or canceled) travels, we cannot hold an ordinary in-person conference. Thus, we decided to conduct all parallel sessions of the conference and the doctoral colloquium exclusively online. The Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association, founded in 2004, is a "members-first" organization. Our annual conferences and the Doctoral Colloquium are the platform that brings us together (APMAA Annual Conference Policy and Mission). Parallel sessions have always been the center of the APMAA. We have continuously developed conference programs and schedules that were "of the members," "by the members," and "for the members. Our goal? That is, our members will grow professionally and interact with colleagues in meaningful ways. Our reviewers are not just scrutinizers, as in the case of traditional established conferences, but rather, we are also facilitators. We encourage prospective authors to contribute to and help shape the 2021 conference program through their research abstracts and papers. The conference's theme this year is "Green Swans-based Management Accounting System towards Future-Fit Society." Today, even leading scholars admit that capitalism is broken. Green Swans is a manifesto for system change designed to serve people, the planet, and prosperity. The proposed Future-Fit Business benchmark may have the potential to revolutionize the way we understand and report corporate progress toward a sustainable society by shifting our focus from today's best practice to required practice to be future-fit. As in every other year, we provide tracks that encompass a wide variety of areas and accept manuscripts of a very broad range of management accounting subjects. We hope you will submit your work and join us at the APMAA 2021. We very much welcome high-quality manuscripts describing constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work. The APMAA 2021 is co-organized by the APMAA Head Office and two local conference organizing teams in Indonesia. In Indonesia, Professor Dr. Sekar Mayangsari (Trisakti University) leads the team for the APMAA 2021 Conference section as the Chair. Professor Dr. Ni Putu Sri Harta Mimba (Udayana University) organizes the APMAA 2021 Doctoral Colloquium section. The APMAA Head Office leads the two Indonesian teams and organize the APMAA 2021. There is no doubt that the 2021 conference will be one of the most impressive meetings in APMAA's history. We are looking forward to seeing you on the web during the APMAA 2021 period in November. Best regards August 12, 2021
